This is Woolly Toons first giveaway!! I've been planning it for the last few days and I'm school-girl excited about it.
The reason for the giveaway? I reached 300 likes on Facebook and I wanted to celebrate it. I also want to say thank you to all of you who have supported me, the blog and my toons. I have so much fun doing this - really, it would be embarrassing for you and for me if you saw the way I giggle and grin and clap my hands when I'm making and photographing my crochet creations. So thank you for all the positive comments and thank you so very much for letting me share this all with you.
Okay, enough of that. Giveaway time!
Up for Grabs
A whale tape measure (I call him Monstro) and a moustache print project bag. The retractable, imperial/metric tape measure is 150cm/59in long. The drawstring project bag is 50cm/19.7in wide and 46cm/18in deep. I've added little crocheted moustaches to the ends of the drawstring. The bag was sewn together by my brilliant on-hand seamstress (Thanks, Mum!). I attempted to sew one for you but, trust me, this one is better :D
How to Enter
To participate in the giveaway you must either be a follower of my blog or a liker of my Facebook page. To enter answer this question in the comment section of this post:

I hope you like the prizes :) Cheers, guys!
Hi, my favourite cartoon character has to be Linus from the Charlie Brown and Snoopy cartoons, think that's where my love of blankets came from too :) My name is Louise Andrews and I'm a liker on your fb page, from the UK. X
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice favourite. Linus - so wise, so young, mighty wielder of the blue blanket hehe :) Louise, you're in the hat! :))
DeleteHi!! I love this bag! My favourite cartoon character ever was Bubbles from the Powerpuff girls. Now I know that seems a little girlie, but she was beautiful, blonde and bad-ass lol!!! Girl power! But now I like moustaches. On everything. Hello, my name is Lane Lynn and I am addicted to bags. :-)
ReplyDeleteTough and cute - isn't that the combination we all aspire to? :D I've been a fan of moustaches ever since I had a crush on Magnum PI when I was 6 hehe :) and you can never have enough bags! Lane you are in the hat!
DeleteHi Kim.

DeleteHi , my all time favorite would be Winnie the pooh , as i got older i still do love bears, but now its tatty teddy :)
ReplyDeleteI loved the Winnie the pooh cartoon that was on in the 90s. I remember singing the theme song all the time "Gotta get up, gotta get going, gonna see I friend of mine ...". Ah the memories :)
DeleteMy favorite is pepe the skunk. I like his french accent ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love your patterns. They are soooo cute!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite cartoon character is Marvin the Martian. I love that even though he is constantly losing to Bugs, he keeps trying to find new ways to fulfill his mission. A bit twisted in the noggin' but determined none the less. Love the mustaches on the bag...Fu Manchu! My name is Stacy S.
ReplyDeleteI have a coffee mug with Marvin on it :D I realised I haven't share my favourite cartoon character. It's Daffy Duck! He's always losing to that bunny but even when he has lost and his beak is blown off he still retains some dignity. Thanks, Stacy :)
DeleteMy favorite is the first one I ever remember seeing and it's oooold. Felix the Cat. It was old even before I saw it but it was a cat with a magic briefcase and so I was in love. Second up is Woody Woodpecker. Actually, I have a LOT of favorites but those are at the top of my list. :) I'll be sharing on my FB page for you!
ReplyDeleteFelix would be one of the first cartoons, do you think? I have seen a few Felix the Cat cartoons but not many. What I remember is that they are quite crazy - but in a fantastic way. You never know what he's going to do. I think the old cartoons are the best and the wackiest :) Thank you for sharing, MCS!! I'm so happy you liked the giveaway items :D <3
DeleteMy daughter found a show on Netflix called Ruby Gloom. I love Ruby and everyone else from that cute little show. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, I've seen Ruby Gloom a few times. The characters have a really funky design. Very cute :)
DeleteOh my! I have several favorite cartoon characters but at the top would be Snoopy!! Thanks for the opportunity and Congrats!! And I get giddy too when I complete a crochet project.. My family thinks I'm nuts!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's so satisfying when you finish a project, all the pieces coming together. I feel like I probably get an after-project glow ;)
DeleteSnoopy rocks! and of course so does Woodstock! :)
I guess my favorite cartoon would be ziggy you don't see him as much any more but I love that little guy so much,That I had a possum that would visit my apartment every day a few years ago he had a torn ear and looked a little worse for wear so I named him ziggy and fed him every night.
ReplyDeleteI heard Ziggy mentioned on TV shows but I'd never actually seen him until just now when I googled him. He has no pants!! Hehe reading a little about him I can see why you love him. I can just imagine what Ziggy the possum looked like :)
DeleteThanks, Tami.
this is the sweetest little pattern-- my two year old LOVES whales and he would get a kick out of seeing this, as I would using it. :) My favorite cartoon character is probably Charlie Brown, sometimes seems like the odds are stacked against him, but he always perseveres. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Needlekrafter. It's my first attempt at making a tape measure cover and it may sound funny, but I had so much fun making it :))
DeleteCharlie Brown is a sweetheart. I love him to bits too :)
My All time favorite cartoon character is Bugs Bunny....Then Mickey Mouse ( he is on my ankle) and of course the master of them all Goofy!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day Kim!

DeleteHi, thanks for the great giveaway and for generously sharing your adorable patterns! My favorite cartoon characters are Classic Winnie the Pooh and Eeyore. Our personalities are a lot alike. You can even google a character profile for each of the Pooh friends. TMI? lol Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteTMI - never! :) I think I would be more a Piglet than any of the other characters ... though I do like my hunny and I sometimes can get quite gloomy ... hmm
DeleteThanks, crochets4premmies!
Hi Kim!
ReplyDeleteWell, that's a serious question ;) I've thought long and hard about it. Couldn't choose between Tweety Bird, Pepe le Pew or the Minah Bird. But I've finally made the decision: it's the Minah Bird of Looney Tunes! Because of his walk, with the hop, and the music :)
I'm Ellen H. by the way (the steampunky snowperson on fb) ;)
Yes!! :D I never knew he was called the Minah bird! I'm humming to the music as I type this - dadadededa dah hop dadadededa dah hop - lol he was great. You don't see him often though. It's so much fun being reminded of all these cartoon characters. I'm loving it :)
DeleteThanks, Ellen :)) You're in the hat.
I love your blog and I love your prizes! And thanks for all the patterns you've shared! I've made a couple of them as baby gifts and made an Egmont for my daughter and everyone loves them. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteTweety Bird has always been my favorite cartoon. It was a sad day when I could no longer fit into my Tweety pjs. I want to know who your favorite cartoon is. :)
Andrea M.
Thanks, Andrea!! I'm so glad you like the patterns and that you used them to make gifts - that is awesome :D
DeleteI love the Looney Tunes cartoons. My high school locker key was on a Tweety bird key ring. It ended up breaking but I think I still have it tucked away in a box somewhere.
Daffy Duck is my favourite! I love him. The duck season/rabbit season toon where he continually gets his beak blown off - cracks me up every time. He tries so hard to beat Bugs and steal the spotlight from him - you gotta love him for it :))
My favorite cartoon charachter is Pagpuss from when I was little but from recent cartoons it would be Perry the Platypus.
