It's Our Birthday!!

Chuck some streamers and break out the champagne: Woolly Toons turned one yesterday!!

One year and one day ago I shared my first pattern with you guys, Marilyn the Fancy Fish. I was nervous when I put that pattern up. I didn't know what you would all think of it or if you'd even find it. But you did and you liked it! And since then there have been toilets and bunny gangs and elephants afraid of the letter E … general wacky crochet fun … and through it all you have encouraged and inspired me with your comments and your own creations and I love you for it. Thank you, everyone!!

To celebrate Woolly Toons' B'day I crocheted a bee (you see what I did there?). The pattern for this bee will go up on the blog sometime next week. I think I'll make her a little crown as well because she looks to me like a Queen Bee. I'll call her Bess - what do you think?

Cheers, guys! I look forward to spending another year with you all!

Bess will be getting her crown tonight. I think she'll also need some worker bees and maybe a drone :)

Hope you're all having a good weekend! xx

  5. Bess is a great name! It really suits her! And like every female, she definitely should have a crown - great idea! LOL. I'm looking forward to seeing where your creations take you this year. So love the wonderful crochet community that I've fallen in with! Thank you for taking the plunge and being such a valuable part of it! Hugs, hugs, hugs!!! <3

    1. Huge hug back to you, Teeni! You do so much for the crochet community and I know there would be so many awesome things I would have missed out on if it wasn't for your encouragement :))) And ditto, can't wait to see what you come up with this year. Whatever you do, it always leaves me smiling <3

  6. Happy (late) B-day! Looking forward to many more years of fun!

As for Bess, a crown would look just too perfect on her. Afterall she IS a 'queen' bee like you said.
